In the meantime, the short(ish) story is this:
Lucy
- Being treated for Demodex, a non-contagious overpopulation of naturally-occurring mites, which generally happens when their immune system is compromised. She is on Ivervectin, and Simplicef, and skin is rapidly improving. Treatment will likely continue for 2 months.
- Now current on all shots
- The shelter deferred her spaying until they are back to full health, so we need to get that done later.
Charlie
- ditto on the Demodex, same as Lucy
- Stool tested positive for Giardia and Coccidia, was treated, and she is now doing great.
- Now current on all shots
- ditto on spaying, same as Lucy
- has an eye condition called Entropion, causing eyelids to fold inward and eyelashes to scrape against eyeball
